Setting up your mailbox on an iPhone or iPad only takes a few minutes. Follow the steps below to add your email account using the Mail app.
Adding Your Mailbox
- On your device, open Settings and tap Apps (on older versions of iOS, scroll down and tap Mail directly).
- Tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Other.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Enter the following details:
- Name: Any name you would like displayed on outgoing messages
- Email: Your full email address, for example name@yourdomain.com
- Password: Your mailbox password
- Description: A label such as Work or Business
- Tap Next. Your device will try to verify the account automatically. If this fails, tap IMAP at the top of the screen to enter your settings manually.
- Under Incoming Mail Server, enter:
- Host Name: imap.stackmail.com
- User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Your mailbox password
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter:
- Host Name: smtp.stackmail.com
- User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Your mailbox password
- Tap Next, then Save.
- Open the new account and tap into the SMTP or Outgoing Mail Server settings. Tap the primary server entry, confirm SSL is switched on, and set the port to 587.

If you run into a certificate warning or connection issue, try switching off SSL and changing the incoming port to 143 instead.
